Why glossaries are a must for translations
The complexity of specialized translation is due to its saturation with domain-specific or scientific terminology, peculiar vocabulary, and even professiona jargon. Even highly qualified translator may not know the shades of their meaning, especially as you company likely has established preferences regarding their use. In cases like these, preparations are in order. Glossary is a list of terms, abbreviations, proper names, and expressions in the text, which need not be substituted with synonims, along with their descriptions and translations.
